JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure all products samples meet the Modern Mill’s quality and safety standards by performing precise laboratory tests, maintaining accurate records, and supporting continuous improvement in product quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

•    Follows all policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to perform work in a disciplined and consistent manner.
•    Follows daily operations related to his/her job to ensure business continuity.
•    Receives samples from the production department according to a pre-established program and ensures that they are labeled.
•    Performs a series of quality tests using laboratory equipment.
•    Ensure that samples are stored properly over a period of time.
•    Ensure that results are documented for each wheat source.
•    Reports problematic results.
•    Maintains a record of all tests performed on a daily basis.
•    Contributes to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, taking into account international best
        practices: changes in international standards and the work environment, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.         
•    Assists in preparing appropriate and accurate reports to meet company and department requirements, policies, and standards.
•    Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
•    Performs other related duties and tasks as directed.
•    Reflects on detailed and standardized practices and instructions.
•    Work within established practices and procedures, and work is subject to close supervision

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a food manufacturing quality laboratory (experience in flour milling preferred).
  • Strong understanding of analytical testing methods for flour and grains.
  • Familiarity with ISO 22000, HACCP, and GMP quality systems.
  • Proficiency in data recording and laboratory documentation.
  • Advanced proficiency in both Arabic and English.
