Job Purpose
The Senior Specialist, Intelligent Automation (RPA) is responsible for identifying, designing, developing, and deploying scalable automation solutions across all business verticals. Operating in an SAP-implemented environment, the role ensures that intelligent automation initiatives align with organizational goals, drive operational efficiency, and reduce manual effort across finance, supply chain, production, sales, HR, and support functions. This role plays a key part in the digital transformation journey by leveraging RPA, OCR, AI/ML, and integration tools.
Key Accountabilities
- Collaborate with business units and IT teams to conduct detailed business process analysis to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities across all functions (e.g., Procurement, Sales, Finance, Production, HR, QA/QC, Warehousing etc).
- Design end-to-end RPA solutions from process assessment, design, development, and deployment to monitoring and support using industry-standard tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate).
- Map current (“as-is”) and future (“to-be”) process states and translate them into technical designs and bot workflows.
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust bots with minimal downtime and high reliability.
- Apply strong functional knowledge in SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI, HR) to design RPA solutions that seamlessly integrate with enterprise systems and support cross-functional business processes
- Integrate RPA with SAP modules (FICO, MM, SD, PP, QM, HR) and non-SAP applications to automate cross-system processes.
- Conduct detailed process assessments, feasibility studies, and ROI analysis to evaluate automation suitability.
- Document current and future state process flows, PDDs (Process Design Documents), and SDDs (Solution Design Documents).
- Ensure that all automation solutions meet internal governance, security, and audit compliance standards.
- Monitor bot performance, perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot exceptions.
- Support hyper-care post-deployment and ensure SLA adherence for business continuity.
- Continuously improve and optimize deployed bots based on business feedback and performance data.
- Work closely with functional leads, SAP consultants, data engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and data consistency.
- Assist in user training, change management, and transfer knowledge to relevant stakeholders.
- Promote automation awareness across departments and support in building a citizen development culture where applicable.
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in IT or Digital roles with at least 4 years in RPA solution development and delivery.
• Proven experience in SAP-integrated environments is essential (FICO, MM, SD, PP, QM, HR).
• Hands-on expertise with RPA tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Microsoft Power Automate.
• Exposure to Process Intelligence solutions like Signavio, Celonis, ARIS etc is desirable
• Exposure to AI/ML, OCR (e.g., ABBYY, Tesseract), and workflow platforms is desirable.
• Experience with scripting (e.g., Python, VBA) and APIs (REST/SOAP) is an added advantage.
