Job Purpose
To lead and drive the regional flour sales strategy by expanding market presence, developing strong trade partnerships, and ensuring the achievement of sales and revenue targets.
The role is responsible for distributor management, route-to-market efficiency, customer relationship building, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
The Regional Sales Manager acts as the key driver of commercial excellence and team capability building within the assigned region.
Key Accountabilities
Manage all regional sales channels (Van, Retail, Wholesale, Distributors, and E-commerce where applicable) with full ownership of performance
Onboard new customers, distributors, and sales channels
Identify new territories, segments, and product opportunities
Conduct market mapping and competitor analysis
Execute activation plans with marketing and trade teams
Build strong stakeholder relationships to expand market presence
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Monitor team performance against KPIs
Ensure product availability and stock management
Drive collections and minimize overdue payments
Ensure pricing execution and compliance with trade policies
Maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners
Resolve customer complaints and service issues promptly
Conduct field visits to strengthen engagement and loyalty
Manage distributor performance and compliance
Ensure adherence to stock norms, order cycles, and payment terms
Analyze secondary sales and optimize route-to-market efficiency
Drive product availability, visibility, and promotional execution
Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies
Coordinate with supply chain for smooth order fulfillment
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and business reviews
Track market trends, competitor activities, and pricing
Utilize CRM/SFA tools for sales tracking and pipeline visibility
Lead, coach, and develop Territory Sales teams
Set targets, monitor performance, and provide feedback
Conduct training, field coaching, and succession planning
Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and regulations
Maintain compliance with food safety and regulatory standards
Manage documentation, audits, and corrective actions
What We Are Looking for
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field (required).
- MBA is a strong plus.
Experience
- 5–8 years of progressive sales experience in FMCG or food manufacturing.
- Experience managing distributors, field teams, and large regional portfolios.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong knowledge of FMCG route-to-market models.
- Experience in wholesale, retail, HORECA, and bakery channels.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capability.
- Proficiency in CRM / SFA tools, Excel, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of trade marketing and channel development.
